We accept .docx (Microsoft Word) and .txt (plain text) files. You can also paste text directly into the text box on the homepage. You can combine uploaded files and pasted text in a single analysis.
We recommend at least 5,000 words for a reliable profile. More is better — 10,000 to 20,000 words gives the most accurate results. The tool accepts up to 50,000 words per analysis.

No. The GhostRight Writing Profile is built on computational stylometry — statistical analysis of writing patterns. It doesn't use large language models or generative AI. It measures what's actually in your text: sentence length, vocabulary richness, punctuation habits, word choice patterns, and more.
Yes. Once your profile generates, you can use your browser's print function (Ctrl+P or Cmd+P) to save it as a PDF or print a hard copy.
Every metric in the Executive Summary includes a green "?" hint icon. Hover over it (or tap on mobile) for a plain-English explanation. The benchmark column shows how your numbers compare to typical ranges across different types of writing.
